Classic Creamy Hummus (Smooth Mediterranean-Style Dip)

Bowl of smooth creamy hummus

Few things are as simple and satisfying as a bowl of freshly made hummus. This classic creamy hummus combines chickpeas, tahini, lemon and garlic into a smooth, velvety dip that’s packed with flavour and naturally nourishing.

Blending the chickpeas with tahini and lemon creates a rich, nutty base, while cumin adds subtle warmth and depth. A drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle of paprika bring the final Mediterranean touch.

This hummus works beautifully as a dip with warm bread, a spread for wraps and sandwiches, or as a creamy base for grain bowls and roasted vegetables. Once you make it from scratch, it’s hard to go back to store-bought.
