Ingredients

    • 1 Beyond Meat burger patty (thawed if frozen)

    • 1 sesame seed burger bun

    • 1 slice cheese (optional)

    • 2–3 tbsp burger mayonnaise

    • 2–3 slices tomato

    • Lettuce leaves (butter lettuce or romaine)

    • 2–3 pickle slices

    • 2–3 slices red onion (optional)

    • For toasting the bun:

    • Olive oil or butter

    • 2 medium potatoes (or sweet potatoes)
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and black pepper

    Method

      1. Preheat the oven to 200°C or an air fryer to 190°C.

      2. Slice the potatoes into chips and toss with olive oil, salt and pepper.

      3. Spread them on a baking tray in a single layer and bake until golden and crispy, about 20–25 minutes.

      1. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

      2. Add a small amount of oil and place the Beyond Meat patty in the pan.

      3. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until browned and heated through.

      4. Add the cheese slice during the last minute and cover the pan so it melts.

      1. Lightly butter or drizzle olive oil on the cut sides of the bun.

      2. Toast in a pan until golden.
