When it comes to smoothies , simplicity is the way to go. Especially when you are trying to make a particular ingredient the focusing point, in this case it’s strawberries. So this smoothie must look and taste like strawberries otherwise why is it called a strawberry smoothie?! 🤷♀️
To achieve this we use less ingredients and make sure the ingredients we use are not over powering.
- 1 and 1/2 cup strawberries‑ I prefer using frozen ones . If you gonna add ice then you can use fresh strawberries
- Dates‑ contrary to popular believe, fruits are not sweet in a smoothie. You actually have to add a sweetener. Unless you use super ripe fruits. Add as money or little dates as you like.
- Nut butter‑ this is optional. I recommend you use something subtle like almond nut butter. Also notice that I didn’t use banana hence I added the nut butter to provide that creaminess.
